1. Proj. Name：CPCT SRU #5 Tail Gas Emission Improvement EPC Turn-Key Project

4. Proj. Description：

This project is for CPCT to reduce SRU #5 Tail Gas SO₂ emission by adding a SO₂/H₂S absorption Unit of caustic Scrubbing Facilities before the existing Thermal Oxidizer (F-4562) within the limited area of 7M x 7M (not incl. caustic storage tank). Based on SRU #5 Tail Gas Inlet/Outlet Design Baselines, it is expected that：for Case (1) De-Sulfur oper. cond. @14,000 Nm³/h Max. w/ 1.0 Vol% SO₂ concent. Inlet, the outlet SO₂ concent. can be ≦50 vppm, and the effluent of COD ≦1,000 mg/l, PH：6~9 after scrubbing；for Case (2) Nor. oper. and Case (3) Up-Set oper. conditions @12,000 Nm³/h Max. w/ 0.01 & 2.0 Vol% H₂S concent. Inlet respectively, the outlet H₂S concent. can be effectively reduced ≧90% after scrubbing. In addition to the above design requirements, it shall also be met that the total system pressure drop ≦1,000 mmH₂O and Dust removal eff. ≧50%.

◆  SO₂/H₂S tail gas Scrubbing Facilities x 1 Unit (Incl. AL-6XN/316L Inlet Barrels, 316L

Disengagement Vertical Vessel, Teflon Reverse jet Nozzles (x2), 316L Froth Columns,

316L Chevron Demisters……, etc.).

◆  316L Scrubbing Circulation Pump x 2 sets, 316L Liquid Caustic Pump x 2 sets.

◆  Oxidation Air Blower x 2 sets(Inc. Noise Hood).

◆  FRP Liquid NaOH Tank x 1 set.

◆  20”/6”∮ SO₂/H₂S tail gas Inlet/Outlet Pipelines retrofitted (Inc. Hot Insulation)  

and/or new added with Shutoff Valves (x3).

◆  Process & Utility Piping System w/different kinds of Material, Effluent Wastewater Piping

(incl. 304 SS Effluent Filter x 1 set).

◆  Civil Foundation, Steel Structures, Operation Platforms, Dikes and related Acquisition

of Government Permits and Construction License Application.

◆  Instruments Incl. Control Valves, Radar/Ultrasonic Liquid L/T, Magnetic or D/P Flow meters,

Density Transmitters, PH Analyzers, Thermometer/ Pressure Gauges, etc.

◆  Power Equipment Incl. MCC Panel, Site Explosion-proof Lighting Fixture, Grounding,

Communication, Power Cable and Conduit, Site Switching Station.
